Featured Goalie – October: Morgan Pelletier

Goalie Army Academy is pleased to announce that our Featured Goalie of the Month for the month of October is GAA student, Morgan Pelletier of the Kanata Blazers Minor Peewee A team.

Facing Adversity Head-On

Morgan’s story is a very interesting one because he moved into the Kanata Minor Hockey Association’s district 2 seasons ago.  For his first season with the KMHA, once evaluations were completed, Morgan was placed into the KMHA’s house league program.  But Morgan pushed himself when he was faced with adversity by working on his craft at our goalie training sessions and by becoming a true student of the game.

Not Too Shabby Kid!

Today Morgan is ranked as the 7^th goaltender in his league with a goals against average of 2.25 at the Minor Peewee A level.  Not too shabby for a goaltender who moved up a level from last season’s Kanata Minor Hockey Association Rep B program, and their house league program the year prior.

In addition to his current statistics and his ability to improve his game which resulted in his climb from house league, Morgan recently took part in the Belleville Pre-Season Tilt Tournament in October, and led his team to a tournament win while earning a 0.917% saves average.
